One day I will have enough money.
One day I will be successful.
One day I will be famous.
One day I will be happy.
One day I will be able to relax.
One day everything will be fine.
One day I will have freedom to do things I like.
One day I will have freedom from things I hate.
One day I will make it.
One day someone will behave the way I want.
One day someone will understand me.
One day I will find someone who can make me happy.
One day I will be able to change myself.
One day I will be able to change someone else.
One day I will be able to forgive someone.
One day someone will realise how right I am.
One day I will show how wrong that person is.
One day I will be free of all the pain, worries and miseries.
One day I will find the purpose and meaning of life.
One day I will find my passion.
One day I will be free of all the desires.
One day I will be enlightened.
There is no such day. That “One day” also lasts only for a day. It may arrive but it will fail to deliver all of its promises.
Even if that “One day” arrives,
Does it meet your expectations?
It may give you temporary excitement, enjoyment and elation but does it give you lasting satisfaction?
Does it turn out to be as grandiose as you envisaged?
Does this “One day” put an end to your longing for another “One day”?
Does this arrival at “One day” suddenly make your subsequent days rosy?
If the answer is yes, can you be absolutely absolutely certain about it?
Do not be in a hurry to answer. Examine and you will arrive at the true answer through visceral understanding, not the intellect.
Look, observe and see it for yourself.
