Every time I ask someone — How are you doing?
Almost instantaneous reply is— “Bussyyy”, “Not enough hours in a day”!
Really?
Are you really busy?
Sometimes, it may well be the case that you are genuinely busy but most of the time, it’s a sign that you are not managing the time well. People wear the “busy” badge as a sign of being more productive and efficient. Some even take pride in being busy. But busy is not always productive. In fact, often, it’s a sign of inefficiency. It’s astonishing to me that we can almost do everything with a touch of a button these days yet lack time! I still remember the days when people have to got to bank or a post office just to pay the bills!
Here are some pointers or strategies I am testing myself which can be of use.
- Unsubscribe.
- Unfriend.
- Unfollow.
- Block.
- Deactivate.
- Mute.
- Delete.
- Get un-Notified.
- Automate.
- Single task.
- Before pushing your limits, it is important to know your limits. Take only what you can handle.
- Use airplane mode while not on the airplane!
- Stop taking your phone to the toilet.
- Eliminate or minimize “Choice” from major aspects of your life.
- Say NO. (Either “HELL YEAH!” or “no.”)
- Stop.
- Breathe.
There is a stark possibility that if you implement even few of them, you will magically create more time in a day! If you feel overwhelmed and feel that you are not doing what you would like to do, these pointers will show you the time leaks that happen during the day.
We all get the same amount of time in a day – not a minute more or a second less.
